Grunge

I had a nice compliment from a neighbor today. A group of the neighborhood kids were playing in her yard. My kids were especially grungy. Lindsay had chocolate and who know what else all over her face. Rusty had red chalk all over his shorts. They were pretty disgusting. She said something to the effect of, "I like when your kids come over to play. It makes me feel like my kids are normal, dirty hands, clothes and faces." I take that as a huge compliment coming from her because her kids are always outside playing. They are happy and well-behaved kids. I like to think that my kids are happy and healthy. They are always playing outside, riding bikes and playing in the dirt. They love it. I love it.

Countdown

I can't believe how fast time goes. We're going to Hawaii in two days and I'm not ready! I really don't like the idea of being gone so long from my kids. It sounded great but now that it's almost here, I would rather not go. Isn't that funny? Anyway, I don't have much to say. I've just been trying to get ready for the trip. Russ has been trying to finish his gym and the mat is finally done! Good job Russ! It really looks great and he's excited about it. Haylee and Lindsay are excited to go to Aunt Melissa's house. And Rusty just wants to be held.
