Allie turned 1 on Tuesday, March 29, 2011.
But did we celebrate?
No.
Allie and I were pretty sick.
So I planned to celebrate that Saturday,
maybe go to the park or something.
But I didn't feel better until Saturday and guess what?
It was General Conference weekend.
And instead of buying a gift and baking a cake,
I watched Conference.
All. Day. Long.
The next day, Sunday, we went over to Grandma Jimmie's
like we do for every Harper birthday.
She made a cake and had a gift.
We all sang "Happy Birthday."
It was a regular celebration.
Plus Grandma Thomas brought over a gift on Allie's birthday.
And so, I just left it at that.
I didn't buy her a birthday present.
I didn't make her a cake.
And she'll never remember or feel cheated or anything.
Hmm. World's Worst Mom or World's Smartest Mom?
Grandma Jimmie, Cousin Lacey, Lindsey, Allie and Russ.
